Mindfulness for Middle Schoolers
6 Sessions, In-Person & on Zoom!

The adolescent years are a time of significant physical and emotional change. Children are discovering themselves and their place in the world, and often find these years challenging. Mindfulness is a valuable skill that can help them navigate the challenges of adolescence with ease and confidence. The practices help them develop self-awareness, increase focus and concentration, strengthen their capacity for self-regulation, and reduce anxiety and stress, so they can feel confident and more fully themselves.

In this series of 6 classes sponsored by Taarika Foundation, rani and Gayathri will share mindfulness and movement practices in a fun and engaging way with our participants. The classes will include yoga and movement, guided meditations, group activities, and time for reflection and sharing. Topics will include mindful listening, mindfulness of breath, body, thoughts and emotions, self-compassion and loving-kindness practices. We offer a safe and supportive environment for the children to explore these practices and share what's on their hearts and minds.

The sessions will be offered in a hybrid format so that participants can join us either in-person or on Zoom.

Children Meditating

“In this moment, there is plenty of time. In this moment, you are precisely as you should be. In this moment, there is infinite possibility.”
