Having Guru in my life was a blessing beyond words.  He saved my life!  He awakened and focused my creativity and grounded my fragmented soul.  When I met him at La Center WA. in 1972, I knew I was in the presence of a great Sage.  I, of course, had no idea what this meant, but it was a beginning for me.  I think he thought of me as the “on and off”  devotee, which gave me keen insight into the horizontal and vertical access.

I finally made it to India in 1984.  His gentle, compassionate guidance instilled in me a confidence which revealed itself when I arrived back home to the Seattle area.  Somehow he triggered in me a love of glass, which I had avoided since moving to Seattle.  I began to learn new techniques and felt like I was shot out of a cannon directly into the alchemy and beauty of glass, and became an artist.  Previous to this experience, art was fleeting because that part of me that was fragmented could not hold the thrust of the creative flow.  Guru had miraculously led me to a medium that would ground me enough to be able to hold the creative energy and allow me to take flight!

This is only one story about resurrection--of many.  Guru's wisdom, love and gift of the Divine has pulled so many of us out of “our” Samskara long enough to let the light come in!

In love and profound gratitude, Guru Nitya.
