Divine Life of Guru Nitya

Narayana Guru says that “worldly people sleep, wake and think many thoughts. Thus in this way, many ambivalent urges arise.” So, they can't critically examine life with regard to high values. This is the way most ordinary people lead their life here. On the contrary, we had a possibility to live a divine life upon earth. Guru Nitya puts such a wonderful model before us through his life. Which includes awareness, equanimity, discrimination, compassion, steadfastness, dharma (fully unfolded potentials) and grace. And he realised that our true nature is divine and everything is the manifestation of the divine.

Purity in terms of physical, emotional, cognitive, social and spiritual may be the first condition that makes the life divine. Guru Nithya always keeps purity and transparency in his every thoughts, words and deeds. They are established in truth for him. He never wore any mask before us. He would say that both right and wrong are precious to me. And he added that he would be so conscious about his jealousy that he would not allow it to hurt others. But he never wanted it to be out of his existence. Once he said “I don't want to become a rose without it's sharp prickles. Rather, I would like to be a rose with some spines.” This sort of openness gifted him with purity for his life.

His personality has been naturally developed with regarded  to his inner urges like a seed grows into a tree. Austerity, Self-study, travel and grace of his Guru molded him to become such an integral personality. In it, we could see a vedanti who enjoys the nectar of unitive understanding, a great psychologist who is a sincere seeker in the inner world of the mental modifications, and a human lover who was always eager to give a solution to the psychic problems for fellow humans. We also could see a good writer, poet who knows the center locus of literature. We could see a music lover who can find out the music of spirit in all sort of music that may be Eastern or Western. He not only enjoyed the art of painting but also was always aware of his proficiency in that particular art.

He saw that life has multifaceted dimensions which includes its constructive as well as destructive aspects. And he said,” there is an implied benevolence in this universe. It comes to each living being in a million forms of grace.” Guru's feet always lead by life values that comes as clear vision to him. He looks only the beauty outside and bliss inside.

As an awakened seer, he can very easily move from one thing to another in the stream of action. With detachment, he is so engaged with his duty from dawn to dusk. Guru's life had a nice rhythm which integrated with music, art, science, technology, philosophy, cute cats, children, beautiful flowers, wonderful books, disciples, friends and nature. The images of those things says much about the life of a Yogi who is in a harmonious union with nature.

Guru Nitya's philosophy towards life is to quietly and simply live in the present moment. Present moment is inevitable. Every moment is challenging to us. It had possibility of secret knowledge. If it is loss, which means what the content it carries, then it will be mortal for that moment. Conversely, if you can immerse into that moment, it will be immortal. So, understand the power of now. See the thing as it is like trees as trees. Accept the people as they are.

Guru's influence is still sustaining in the world community  by his articles, books and connected disciples. His teaching is coming from deep meditation. The waves of compassion and meditation will touch the hearts of people who seek relief from the fever of their life. It streams like a quiet river. It gives solution to their problems. It also provides meaning and value to their life. He continues his teaching in a high order to create divine community too. Guru is still living in the hearts of  people by his end word: with love, Nitya Chaitanya Yati.
